Unfortunately, I will not be able to attend the Albacon convention as previously planned. So, my costume for the masquerade competition has been put on hold.
I loved the shirt that I completed and the waistcoat. But ran into problems with the breeches pattern. I made a mockup, so glad that I did. They simply didn't fit right. I tried a couple of things to correct, I thought, it made the fit worse.
Anyway, I will spare you the gory details. Needless to say, I met my Waterloo with the 1790s breeches pattern.
As a new costumer, this journal will chronicle my adventures in historical and steampunk costuming. Hopefully, by sharing my experiences with you, they will help and inspire other costumers. So, come join me on this exciting journey.
